FAQ

Things you might want to know.

Does DawForge work with Cubase and Logic Pro?

Yes — the knowledge base and map editor support both Cubase Pro and Logic Pro. Track templates and the live bridge (Flow) are Cubase Pro only; the Logic Pro bridge is currently in beta.

Does DawForge ship with sample libraries?

No. DawForge is the workflow layer — it sits next to libraries you already own (Spitfire, VSL, Orchestral Tools, etc.) and helps you author maps and switch articulations. You need valid licences for any library you reference.

What files does DawForge actually generate?

Cubase expression maps (.expressionmap) and Logic Pro articulation sets — the formats your DAW already understands. No proprietary file types, no lock-in.

What does the Starter plan include?

One expression map, one 32-track template, one library open at a time, and 16 library opens per day — enough to validate the full workflow during your 30-day free trial before the €2/mo subscription kicks in.

Can I cancel or switch plans anytime?

Yes. The Starter plan starts with a 30-day free trial — cancel during the trial and you're not charged. Hobbyist and Professional are paid up-front with monthly or annual billing. You can cancel or downgrade at any time from your account settings.

Can I contribute to the knowledge base?

Yes — the knowledge base is community-editable for instruments you own. We don't accept copyrighted documentation or vendor screenshots — just factual names and articulation metadata.

Built by a composer · Continuing a line of work

DawForge is the successor to Flow — the orchestral template I built six years ago.

Flow was used by composers around the world, but it lived outside Cubase: starting it, syncing it, keeping it in step with a session — all friction. The engine was wrong for the job.

DawForge is the next chapter. Same obsession with making your DAW feel like an instrument, now rebuilt as a native tool inside Cubase and Logic Pro — where the music actually happens.
